How does exam proctoring at Vteach work?
Check your institution's process.
Most require you to nominate an invigilator or submit a proctor request form.
Send us the form.
Email it to admin@vteach.ca. We complete and sign it, and send it back to you or your institution.
Book your exam time.
Choose a date and time that suits you. We confirm by email.
Your institution sends the exam.
Exams are sent to us directly by email, secure portal or courier. Students never receive the exam in advance.
Write your exam.
Arrive 15 minutes early with your government-issued photo ID.
We return your exam.
Completed paper exams are scanned and/or couriered back to your institution as it requires. Online exams are submitted on our computers.
What do I need to bring?
- Valid government-issued photo ID (passport, driver's licence, PR card or provincial ID).
- Only the materials your institution allows (for example, a calculator or formula sheet). Everything else is stored in lockers outside the exam room.
- Your exam login details, for online exams.
Can I write an online exam at Vteach?
Yes. Online exams are written on our dedicated exam computers, with Respondus LockDown Browser installed and a webcam available. You can bring your own laptop as a backup if your institution allows it.
When can I write my exam?
We're open 7 days a week by appointment, including evenings and weekends. Book at least 3 business days ahead so your institution has time to send the exam.
Where is the exam centre?
Exams are held at Unit 104, 1803 91 Street SW, Edmonton, AB T6X 0W8, in south Edmonton, with free on-site parking. Our office is in Unit 110 in the same building.
Is the exam room secure and accessible?
- Quiet, dedicated exam rooms with individual workstations and dividers.
- Candidates are monitored throughout the exam.
- Exam materials are stored securely and returned to the institution after the exam.
- Accessible entrance. Contact us in advance if you need accommodations such as extra time or a separate room, and we'll arrange them with your institution.

Yes. Vteach is listed on Thompson Rivers University's Canadian Invigilator Network as an approved invigilation site in Edmonton.

Yes. We're open 7 days a week by appointment, including evenings and weekends.
How far in advance should I book?▼
Book at least 3 business days before your exam, and check your institution's own deadline for submitting the proctor form, which is often 1–3 weeks before the exam.
What ID do I need?▼
A valid government-issued photo ID, such as a passport, driver's licence, PR card or provincial ID card.
Can Vteach proctor online exams that use LockDown Browser?▼
Yes. Our exam computers have Respondus LockDown Browser installed.
How do I get my institution to send the exam to Vteach?▼
Send us your institution's proctor or invigilator form at admin@vteach.ca. We complete it and your institution sends the exam to us directly.
