High School Equivalency

Canadian Adult Education
Credential (CAEC)

The CAEC is the new Canadian standard for adult high school equivalency, replacing the GED. Vteach is an official testing centre supporting your educational journey.

About the CAEC

The Canadian Adult Education Credential (CAEC) provides a high-quality, made-in-Canada education credential that meets industry standards and the needs of employers across the country. It replaced the GED® in Canada in Spring 2024.

Achieving your CAEC opens doors to employment, apprenticeships, and post-secondary education. It is recognized by employers and educational institutions as equivalent to a high school diploma.
